About the Academy
St Ann’s Well Academy is a primary school in the St Ann’s area of Nottingham city.
There is one class for each year group from Foundation Stage to Year Six. Children are taught in whole classes and will also at times be taught individually or in groups.
Our school has recently undergone a major rebuild and we now have a well designed, functional school, which meets modern needs and expectations.
An introduction from the Headteacher, Mrs. E. Thorne
Welcome to our school. St. Ann’s Well is all about 3 words:
HAPPINESS, SUCCESS and FAMILY
Above all else, we want every child at St. Ann’s Well to be happy; we believe that school years should be the best of your life! We want our children to leave St. Ann’s Well feeling valued, confident and most of all with fond memories that they will cherish forever. To achieve this we aim to know every child as an individual knowing their strengths, weaknesses and what motivates them. To be happy at school every child must feel comfortable, safe and involved. And every member of staff at St. Ann’s Well works hard to ensure EVERY child achieves this.
A happy child is a learning child who will make progress and achieve great success!
We believe St. Ann’s Well to be like a big family! One that shares and celebrates successes, helps each other through difficult times and looks after each other.
We welcome everyone into this family environment and have an open door policy; we want to involve all of the family in the child's learning journey from the day they start in Foundation to when they leave at 11 ready to go on to great things.
Our School Aims
At St. Ann’s Well, we ask every child to:
- Be welcoming;
- Be caring;
- Be honest;
- Be kind and
- Be your best!
St. Ann’s Well is a successful school (rated Good in the last Ofsted Reports), which serves a very diverse population.
As well as raising achievement in academic work we are also proud of the exciting opportunities we offer to children to develop their creativity.
